OUR FAVOURITE SPOTS IN MALAWI
Malawi offers a very wide selection based on one's taste, interests and also budget.
We would like to show you the beauty of Malawi in every way possible. Here are our favourite places in Malawi and if you can, you should always have one of these in your itinerary.
- Cape Maclear -
Mumbo Island is a pristine and deserted tropical island floating on the expansive waters of the Lake Malawi National Park. With a maze of massive underwater boulders, innumerable species of colourful cichlid fish and calm, clear water, the National Park offers what many consider the best freshwater snorkeling and SCUBA diving in the world.
- Thyolo Estates -
Originally the family home built by Maclean Kay in 1928, Huntingdon House exudes a colonial charm and unique character that cannot be recreated. The house is deep in Satemwa Tea Estates and surrounded by lovely tea and coffee fields that guests can explore. Tea tours at the factory form part of an unforgettable experience.
- Liwonde National Park -
Located on a large open plain stretching towards the Shire River in Liwonde National Park, you will find Kuthengo Camp nestled among Fever trees and Baobabs. With resident fish eagles nesting in these Baobabs, you will be woken to ‘Africa’s voice’ calling as you rise in this wild and natural paradise.
The stylish and beautifully done tented chalets are out of this world. You will love Malawi.
NTCHISI FOREST LODGE
- Ntchisi -
Ntchisi Forest Lodge is located at the foot of one of the few remaining indigenous rainforests, the Ntchisi Forest Reserve, close to the country’s capital Lilongwe.
This small eco-lodge, off the grid offers community experiences, hikes and a great atmosphere for relaxation. The forest is designated as one of Malawi's Important Birding Areas (IBAs).
